Kindergarten and first grade students love creating a winter collage! Lay out different brightly colored paper, scissors and Elmer's glue. Have your student cut out fairly large squares and rectangles for buildings - then cut out and glue down details such as windows and doors onto a blue piece of paper (or glue onto a newspaper background). Last, use a q-tip dipped into white tempera paint to paint falling snow and snow on the rooftops. Use white paper (or paint) for the snow covered ground. A black crayon can add smoke from a chimney or finish off windows. What a lovely winter scene!
